What is NET METERING?

It is a metering and billing arrangement that allows on-site
generators to send excess electricity flows to the regional
power grid; these flows offset a portion of the energy
drawn from the grid. An example would be a company
that generates solar power for its building. If it generates
excess electricity, it can “sell” this to the local power
company.
